Locally sourced materials, experiments, artist talks (Franciska Eliassen and Espen Johansen), exhibition

Over the course of a week, me and Josefin Vestberg invited students and outsiders to explore how we can build structures that create a feeling of home and security.
We were inspired by the persistent fort-building that many children engage in, and our own desire to continue building forts. After some research, we came across the concept of vernacular architecture, which refers to site-specific architecture that serves a local function, is built with local materials, and typically not constructed by an architect.
